    Superman Soars into the Box Office


    Superman Returns soared to the #1 spot at the box office in North American theaters this weekend, grossing a rather super 84.2 million U.S. dollars since opening Wednesday, according to figures released Sunday. The movie is set approximately 5 years after the last Superman movie and much has changed in Metropolis. The movie has scored decent reviews and looks set to review the franchise which was deemed to have seen it's twighlight in holywood.

    Indeed it seems DC is back with a vengeance, scoring well with both the new slate-clean Batman & Superman. It will be interesting to see if they can build upon the first 2 successful comebacks with solid sequels.
